Welcome to the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators website. You are a member of the NC-ACTE if your institution is listed in the member institutions that can be downloaded in the left hand column. There are no individual membership in NC-ACTE. If you teach in a member institution, you are automatically a member of NC-ACTE. P-14 teachers can also participate in the conferences.
The 29th Annual Fall NC Teacher Education Forum will be held at the North Raleigh Hilton, September 22-23, 2011. Click REGISTER to download the registration form. The conference will focus on the theme Passion, Purpose, and Professionalism: Teaching in Critical Times. Contact Program Committee Chair Jennifer Olson at ncactefallforum@gmail.com for further information. The Registration Form contains the tentative schedule.
Be sure to make your hotel reservations by September 8, 2011. Use the TEF registration code. You cannot be guaranteed a room or receive the special conference rate if you register after that date. The Planning Committee has reserved a block of rooms based upon past conferences. When that block is sold out, room reservations will be based upon availability and at the regular Hilton rate.
The tentative date of Friday, April 13, 2012, has been set for the Spring Teacher Education Forum and will be held at the Friday Center for innovation in Education on the campus of North Carolina State University.
